✨ Committee Spotlight

The Deployment Specialists Committee met to review progress on engineering best practices, plan next steps for upcoming chapters in the series, and coordinate with related FBA committees. The group also discussed developing a construction-focused version of the work and highlighted emerging industry issues, including legal developments affecting railroad permitting, while planning member engagement ahead of Fiber Connect. Engineering Best Practices Progress

Chapter 1 published; Chapter 2 drafted and moving toward review.
Chapters 3 (low-level design) and 4 (permitting) are next, with a goal to complete the first four chapters before Fiber Connect.
Additional contributors will be added to broaden participation and accelerate development.

Construction Best Practices Interest

Members expressed strong interest in developing construction-focused best practices, with a group forming to define scope and participants.
