It's been another exciting week in fiber broadband--the Senate confirmed Arielle Roth as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, administrator of the NTIA.

Gary Bolton, FBA President and CEO, offered congratulations, “The Fiber Broadband Association congratulates Arielle Roth on her confirmation as Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). We look forward to partnering with her to close the digital divide and advance America’s fiber broadband infrastructure to support next generation technologies. Her leadership, expertise, and vision will be instrumental in advancing high-speed connectivity for all Americans.”

Bolton also delivered remarks at NTIA’s listening session this week, to inform a forthcoming NTIA report outlining challenges and opportunities to data center growth, resilience and security, and targeted and actionable policy recommendations. "Fiber is not just part of the solution--it's the foundation for what comes next," he said.

In this week’s Fiber for Breakfast episode, Consolidated Communications COO Gaurav Juneja, outlined the company's strategic vision, operational progress, and transformative impact in rural America, particularly in Northern New England.
“Our mission at Consolidated is to bring broadband infrastructure to unserved and underserved communities throughout our footprint, and we truly believe that broadband infrastructure enables people to live, work and thrive in communities, specifically underserved and unserved communities, just so they don't have to relocate into urban centers,” said Juneja.
