On this week’s episode of Fiber for Breakfast, Gary was joined by Ron Westfall, Analyst in Residence from HyperFRAME Research. According Westfall, “Agentic AI is vital to the fiber industry. It’s not just a buzzword—it’s already transforming how networks are deployed, maintained, and optimized.”

Agentic AI is rapidly becoming a strategic cornerstone for the fiber industry. Unlike traditional AI, which passively responds to human prompts, agentic AI systems act independently—analyzing, reasoning, and executing complex tasks without constant human oversight.

Response to BEAD NOFO

June 6, 2025 - “FBA appreciates today’s notice from NTIA and we are reviewing it carefully. As this process moves forward, we will continue underscoring how fiber is the most reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient technology on the market and is uniquely positioned to serve as the backbone to our nation’s broadband infrastructure. States have already made great progress on their deployment plans, and we look forward to working with them to connect America’s unserved and underserved communities – helping to close the digital divide.”

– Gary Bolton, President and CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association.
